Worked 34 years as an electro-mechanical design engineer on a wide variety of analog, digital, and Radio Frequency (RF) electronics products, including:
o Digital pulse dialing mobile telephone system for Bell Labs
Staff Engineer at the University of California at Berkeley, College of Engineering. Responsible for non-academic staff and research facilities for the Acoustics, Analog Computer, Machining, Welding, Air Bearings, Dynamics, Impact, Servomechanisms, and Design Laboratories. Chief Mechanical Engineer at FAM Engineering Inc., manufacturer of high power microwave amplifier systems. Mechanical design of 5 to 16 kilovolt Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers and high voltage modulators with up to 4000 Volt/microsecond rise time. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, University of California at Berkeley, 1956 First high end system in 1949 included a Rek-o-Kut turntable, ESL arm and moving coil cartridge, Pederson tube pre-amp, Fisher 50 watt Class "A" tube amp, and an Altec Lansing 604C speaker. (At its peak in stereo, the system had 52 vacuum tubes) 22 years of developing and refining a revolutionary design of High Fidelity audio interconnect and speaker cables. Have six patents granted in the high fidelity audio field.
